About Us

 

Originally from the UK, Di from Barnstaple and Dave from nowhere in particular due to parents having been in the armed forces and after having travelled and worked all over the world for more than 30 years we both decided it was time to slow down the pace of our lives and after visiting Portugal in 2005 we realised that this was the place for us. Soon we were browsing the internet looking for a suitable place to settle down and start our own accomodation/holiday let business, finally in the beginning of 2009 everything fell into place.

 

With years of experience living in various hotels, self catering accomodation as well as bed and breakfast we realised that we had a pretty good insight into what people want when they are away from home be it on business or on holiday. With this in mind we believe that we can offer excellent value for money at Quinta Caneiro you will also be able to totally unwind in an area which not only benefits from Portugals fantastic climate but also the peace and quiet.

 

It would give both of us a great deal of pleasure to be able to welcome you to our new home and looking after your holiday or business needs. Although we are fairly new to the area we have already made many new friends and contacts who have an incredible wealth of local knowledge, which is important when it comes to where to eat what to see and when. They can also provide useful information for those of you who are in the area looking for a new home or perhaps you already have bought a ruin and require tips on who can help you with building supplies and services, certainly if we do not know we will know someone who does.
